Hello! This may seem strange, but I am searching for a woman named Mary Hand (it was her maiden name) and she would be in her mid to late 80s. She and my mom were best friends in the Army back in 1944. Mom says she was either from or lived in Arlington VA back then.I am escorting my mom on a flight to honor Veterans in Washington DC the end of September & would love to re-connect her with her old best friend. Could you be any help or someone in the Hand Clan? By the way I am a new gramma and I just love your pix of your little one! Glad I'm not the only one who goes gaga for babies~!Thank you so much;& if you can't help I understand. This is such a long shot I just had to try. Whenever mom gets nostalgic she always brings up,gee I wonder if I could ever find Mary Hand? Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with other Mary Hand's in the Hand lineage. I'm sorry I can't be of help. I hope your search yields success. I'm sure it would mean a lot to your mom.
